Your confusion about liberals’ opposition to school choice is echoed by just about everybody. It doesn’t seem to make any sense, especially if you want the poor and downtrodden to be successful.

My mom calls it Missouri Synod Bingo – talk to someone in a LCMS church for 5 minutes, and *Bingo* you’lll find you know someone in common. My husband’s family is Wisconsin Synod, and it’s the same there too, so we just call it Lutheran Bingo.

It is so sad about Pilgrim’s school closing. I would love to see the school choice program expand – what do the public schools have to fear? Competition? I know the liberals don’t like things to be driven by the market (the economy, schools), but they actually try to tell us it’s for our own good!
